Romney DinerA little about us and a brief history of how we started.
Welcome to the Romney Diner, the little place with a big heart. Here you will find great food, friendly service, and a cozy atmosphere. We are a family-owned business and we believe in providing our customers a good home cooked meal.
Our restaurant is nestled in downtown Romney with plenty of parking. Come on by and enjoy one of our delicious meals and maybe a warm slice of pie. We offer daily specials, free Wi-Fi, carryout, and gift cards.
With so much history here in Romney, it’s no surprise that our building is rich in history too. It was originally Cresap Creamery in the late 1900’s. It was also a Saddle and Tack Shop, and later a Taxi Stand. It was purchased by Shirley Hott in January 1997 and that’s where the orginal name came from. Shirley’s daughter, Angie Clower, purchased the restaurant from her mother in February 2006. In January 2016, the name was changed to Romney Diner. Stop in to see the old photos of the restaurant and a piece of Romney’s History. As we like to say, “Come a stranger, leave a friend”.
